Estimate the price of the service you require.
Note: the price guide is only that: a guide. A proper quote will not be provided until your work has been submitted. Full details available in our Terms & Conditions, available here.
Our price calculator offers an insight into what kind of fee your work will demand, based on the service you require, your word count, and your desired turnaround. The latter is reckoned in hours: for instance, one week is 168 hours. Inputting your word count and the number of hours produces the estimated price range: the longer your text and the shorter the window of return, the higher the price.
It should be noted that the price guide is only that: a guide. A proper quote will not be provided until your work has been submitted. By offering a price range, we intend to account for the discrepancy from one piece to the next as to how much editing is required. However, in certain cases, the price range may not reflect the level of time-investment a piece demands and will have to be adjusted.
Sometimes, this will mean a higher price than the price guide computes, for Short Proofing strives to offer highly competitive pricing. However, we will equally offer a reduced quote, should your work not require a level of editing which fairly corresponds to the price estimation. For example, we will likely be more accommodating when it comes to a shorter piece on a quick turnaround than for a longer-one.
In respect of the return period, we will often be able to complete work before the agreed deadline, though you should not bank on this. The timer begins upon confirmed receipt of payment, as stipulated in our terms & conditions.
N.B. The price guide offers an indication for pieces of up to 15,000 words in length. Short Proofing also invites direct enquiries. We are open to returning work within a 24-hour window. However, as with any other request, we cannot absolutely guarantee being able to accommodate it until confirmed.
